The Genocide Against the Tutsi 25 Years On: Preserving Memory, Upholding Humanity.
What Lessons Has the World Learned from Rwanda in Prevention and Responses to Genocides Worldwide?
The one-day conference organized within the framework of the 25th remembrance of the genocide committed against the Tutsi was intended to look back at what happened in Rwanda a quarter of a century ago (retrospective lens) in attempts to interrogate and inform current and future interventions to prevent genocides (prospective lens). To achieve this end, the conference brought together high profile officials and knowledgeable experts on Rwanda, genocide and peace building.
